The Mellow Sounds and System Dub t shirt was first produced at bloodsweatandtees in 2009 as a personal tribute to the TOP Ranking highly collectable silk screen cover, Jamaican released Studio 1 Dub albums that cats were hunting high and low, (due in part to their mythical status), throughout the 1980’s.
Released by Clement ‘Sir Coxson’ Dodd’s MIGHTY Studio 1, (and some say MIXED down by the man himself), between 1974 - 1980 when Dub was still big in Jamaica due in part to a 1972 law passed restricting the price a producer like Dodd could sell a ‘pre’ release for resulting in a breakdown and reset of Jamaica’s music industry.
